Let’s learn how to use your DPINR in just 5 easy steps. It takes just a few minutes.
Step 1. Choosing your wallet
DPINR is supported by TronLink and Trust Wallet. These wallets are fully non-custodial – they allow you to store and manage your private keys. This makes you the true owner of all your digital assets.
If you just like to use your DPINR, the best option is TronLink wallet. If you like to expand your digital assets with time (by adding more coins and tokens), the Trust Wallet is a better choice. Now let’s set up your wallet.
Step 2. Downloading your wallet
Your wallet will ask you to “create a new wallet”. After you choose this option, the wallet will generate your private keys and will ask you to complete a backup. This is THE most important step in the process. If you fail to backup your wallet, you will lose your coins and tokens. Here is how it works.
Step 3. Wallet backup (The most important step)
Take 2 pieces of paper (or notebooks) and write down the information that your wallet provides:
- Recovery Phrase (or mnemonic phrase) consisting of 12 or 24 random words
- Password or pin code (that you chose yourself)
- The name of your device and the year the wallet was created (this will help you to keep track of your wallet as the time progresses) Example: Iphone 16 – 2024
- Wallet name (that you chose yourself)
Again, we cannot stress enough how important it is to properly write this information on physical pieces of paper (at least twice). Millions of dollars of cryptocurrency has been lost over the years because people failed to backup their wallet. Take your time and do this step very carefully and diligently. Your future self will thank you for doing it today!
After you have written down all your important information, the wallet will ask you to verify your recovery phrase (just to be sure you followed every step correctly). Congratulations! Your wallet is set up and you just entered the world of Web3.
Step 4. Adding DPINR to your wallet
Now your wallet is complete, it’s time to add DPINR to the list of your digital assets.
Navigate to the section “Assets”. Here you can use the search field to find “DPINR” and add it to your wallet. Now you can return to the main screen and see that the wallet displays your DPINR logo.
DPINR works on the Tron network. This means every transaction requires a tiny bit of $TRX to pay for the transaction costs on this decentralized network. This is called a “gas fee”. Let’s see how we can add some $TRX to your wallet.
Step 5. Adding $TRX to your wallet
If you already own some $TRX (in another wallet), you can send this $TRX to your new wallet using the “receive” option. Simply locate $TRX on your screen and tap “receive”. The wallet will provide you with an address where your $TRX can now be sent.
You can now copy the address and send a test transaction to your new wallet.
If you don’t yet have $TRX, you can use any popular exchange ( WazirX, Mudrex, Zebpay or BitBNS) to purchase some $TRX and withdraw it into your new wallet.
Again, it’s important to take your time. Be aware that all blockchain transactions are irreversible. Therefore it’s crucial that you always verify the first and last 6 characters of your wallet address before you send your $TRX. If just one letter or number is missing, the transaction will fail and the $TRX will be irretrievably lost.
You can avoid this by using a small “test transaction”. Here’s how it’s done.
If you want to send a sum of 50 usd worth of $TRX tokens, you can take a small sum (1 or 2 usd worth of $TRX) and send it first. After just a few seconds, you’ll see that your wallet balance will display the $TRX amount you sent.
It means you have used the correct address and your very first on-chain transaction is successful. Now you can confidently send the rest of your $TRX (48 USD) to your wallet.
In the world of Web3 it’s always important to work slowly and diligently. Always remember; there are millions of people who lost Billion of dollar of value because they simply forgot to;
- Backup their wallet
- Verify the first and last 6 characters of their wallet address
- Failed to make a test transactions
Now you will never make these mistakes!
Congratulations. Your wallet has been fully funded with $TRX and you can use DPINR to its full potential.
